Satsuki Annino is a native of Japan. When she moved to Santa Fe
in 2003, she began studying with Felipe
Ortega, the world renowned micaceous potter. For the first
two years under Master Ortega’s tutelage, she focused on creating
traditional Jicarilla Apache utilitarian vessels. Gradually
she incorporated Japanese aesthetics into her micaceous pottery.
Her pottery can be seen at the William & Joseph Gallery on 727
Canyon Rd. in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Recently she was selected to be in the New Mexico Women In the Arts
Show called "Originals 2007" at the Millicent Rogers Museum
in Taos, NM.
