Satsuki Annino is a native of Japan. When she moved to Santa Fe in 2003, she began studying with Felipe Ortega, the world renowned micaceous potter. For the first two years under Master Ortega’s tutelage, she focused on creating traditional Jicarilla Apache utilitarian vessels. Gradually she incorporated Japanese aesthetics into her micaceous pottery.
Her pottery can be seen at the Nussbaumer & Fine Arts Gallery on Guadalupe St. and at the Asian Adobe on Johnson St. in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Recently she was selected to be in the New Mexico Women In the Arts Show called "Originals 2007" at the Millicent Rogers Museum in Taos, NM.
